We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator RN to join our team at a 5-star rated skilled nursing facility in Orange County, New York. As a Nurse Educator RN, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for staff and residents, ensuring compliance with DOH guidelines and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute educational programs for staff and residents, including new hire orientation and continuing education
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and continuing education programs
- Provide and assist with emergency training and maintain clinical skills and competence
- Recommend revisions to policies and procedures based on current clinical knowledge and policies
- Provide supplemental nursing supervision as needed and participate in on-call rotation
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Licensed and registered in good standing in New York State as an RN
- Work experience as a Nurse Educator RN, with SNF experience highly preferred
- Ability to make independent and collaborative decisions for quality education and nursing care
- Thorough knowledge of nursing and infection control practices and procedures
- Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and dependable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
