Job Summary

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases patient record management. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex cannabis products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and customers.
  • Offer educational consulting on cannabis products and their uses.
  • Manage patient records and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on cannabis education and training.
  • Support managers and other team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure accuracy of online orders.
  • Understand and apply compliance regulations.
  • Stock and merchandise inventory.
  • Complete transactions at the POS.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
  • Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
  • Desire to learn about cannabinoids and product application methods.
  • Ability to use office equipment and software.
  • Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry.
Preferred Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Able to stand up to 90% of the time. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment

Work is performed in a retail environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
