About the Role:

The Direct Care Worker (DCW) is responsible for providing various personal care and homemaker/companion services to clients, following an established plan of care. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing companionship and respite services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and respite services to clients and their families
  • Perform homemaking activities, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Assist clients with medication management, under the supervision of a registered nurse

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide course
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
