Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Developer to join our team at eTek IT Services, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Integration and Configuration efforts for Guidewire PolicyCenter 10.0
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Guidewire PolicyCenter 8.0 or higher
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Design and implement efficient database solutions using SQL (SQL server/Oracle/DB2)/No SQL related technologies
  • Integrate with RESTful /SOAP Web services and UI Frameworks (like Angular)
  • Work with monitoring tools like AppDynamics to ensure optimal system performance
  • Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications and technical documentation
  • Estimate, plan, and track development tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Debug and resolve production issues, identify application performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with the team to implement continuous integration practices, processes, and tools (Jenkins, JUNIT, GitLab)
  • Write configurable, maintainable, and testable code in a highly collaborative environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of IT hands-on application development experience
  • Minimum 4 years of IT hands-on development experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter 8.0 or higher
  • Proven experience with Configuration and Integration experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter 8.0 or higher
  • Minimum 4 years of hand-on experience with SQL (SQL server/Oracle/DB2)/No SQL related technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience integrating with RESTful /SOAP Web services
  • Knowledge of working with UI Frameworks (like Angular) is a plus
  • Knowledge of working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design best practices
  • Knowledge of researching and preparing detailed functional specifications
  • Good knowledge of estimating, planning, and tracking development tasks
  • Experience with debugging production issues and resolving them
  • Experience with identifying application performance bottlenecks and resolving them
  • In-depth hands-on experience with continuous integration practices, processes, and tools (Jenkins, JUNIT, GitLab)
  • Proficient in writing configurable, maintainable, and testable code in a highly collaborative environment
  • Property Casualty domain knowledge is a plus
