Role Summary: We are looking for a Revit Designer to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial for the creation of engineered drawings, specifications, and material take-offs essential for the construction of prefabricated structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive drawing sets that encompass technical layouts, detailed views, and assembly drawings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, collaborating closely with various departments to deliver compliant and cost-effective construction drawings.
  • Apply mathematical principles to calculate weights, load capacities, dimensions, and material quantities.
  • Coordinate design arrangements with other disciplines, including Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, to secure necessary approvals.
  • Create high-quality architectural drawings and mechanical piping and HVAC models, considering cost estimates.
  • Provide design solutions that prioritize form, fit, function, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Engineers and the product development team.
  • Reference cost estimates during the drawing process and communicate any significant discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Stay informed about current building codes through various technical resources.
  • Assist in preparing shop drawings and engineering deliverables using Revit and CAD software.
  • Adhere to the ISO Quality system and company safety policies throughout all assignments.
  • Review products with internal stakeholders to verify the accuracy of drawings, material selections, equipment installations, and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Minimum of one year of design drafting experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of creating detailed drawings that effectively convey form, fit, and function.
  • At least one year of experience in Residential, Commercial, or Modular Design is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in traditional and/or permanent modular design is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks that involve typing and verbal communication.
  • Ability to utilize specific vision capabilities, including close vision and depth perception.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms is necessary.
  • Occasional requirements may include stooping, kneeling, or climbing.

  • The work is conducted in a controlled office environment with a low noise level.
