Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Loader to join our team at Installed Building Products. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of drywall materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload drywall materials from delivery trucks, ensuring that materials are handled properly and delivered to the correct locations.
  • Material Transportation: Transport materials to designated locations on job sites, maintaining an organized and productive work environment.
  • Material Handling and Storage: Ensure materials are handled and stored safely to prevent damage, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management and stock organization, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean work area, follow safety protocols, and ensure high-quality workmanship in all aspects of the job.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on job progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in construction or material handling is preferred, with a strong understanding of drywall materials and handling procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 100 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately track and report inventory levels and material movements.
  • Weather Conditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions, with a focus on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, with the ability to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Forklift Certification: Forklift certification is a plus, with a strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and operation.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
