Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and applications. You will work closely with our team of engineers and developers to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with software testing and debugging.
- Skills
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ or other OOP languages.
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with COMSEC equipment.
- CompTIA Security Plus certification.
- CompTIA Linux Plus certification.
- Experience leading a team.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or VxWorks development.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite.
Salary Range
$92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
