Our CICU specializes in cardiac, intensive level care for patients with severe heart diseases, such as CAD, AMI, post-arrest, cardiomyopathy, and arrhythmias.
As a Cardiac ICU Nurse, you will work closely with a team to provide critical care to patients, utilizing assistive devices like balloon pumps, impellas, and temporary pacemakers, as well as invasive monitoring devices like SWANs and a-lines.
The CICU typically staffs with a one or two nurse to patient ratio, providing a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include assessing and identifying patient needs, implementing appropriate interventions, and establishing and maintaining a plan for the delivery of nursing care.
Minimum requirements include an active Kentucky License, BCLS within 90 days, and ACLS within six months for experienced staff nurses and within one year for new graduate nurses.
