Job Title: Addiction Therapist

Job Summary:

Uprising Addiction Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Therapist to join our team. As an Addiction Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring to inform treatment decisions.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment and mental health.

Requirements:

  • Mental health professional licensure in Louisiana, including Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/P-LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT/P-LMFT).
  • Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, addiction, or a related field from a regionally or nationally accredited university.
  • Current CPR certification and SAMA/CTI/CPI certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

The Addiction Therapist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal to high volumes of stress. The physical demands of the job include occasional standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The job requires frequent contact with water and working with body fluids and hazardous chemicals, with adherence to OSHA standards and universal precautions.
