Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer/Operator to join our team at Silver Star Construction. This role involves performing various tasks related to construction, including raking and shoveling asphalt, assisting in patching asphalt, and maintaining a clean job site.

Responsibilities
  • Rake and shovel asphalt in construction areas as required
  • Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mixtures
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site by securing tools and equipment each day
  • Perform material handling and storage tasks as needed
  • May operate hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently
  • Assist craft workers with their duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and physically perform tasks associated with the job
  • Physical ability to bend and crouch as necessary
  • Capacity to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in designated operations and production areas
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment and able to handle frequent delays or unexpected events
  • Able to work nights and weekends when necessary, and overtime when required
Benefits
  • Competitive pay with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
