Position Overview:
This role involves managing the flow of vehicles within the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) environment. The Valet will be responsible for various tasks that ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.
Work Schedule:
Hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The facility operates on a 4x10 schedule, with workdays alternating between Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, depending on the incoming vessel schedule. Weekend shifts may be required based on operational volume.
Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $20.53 per hour. This is a 12-month contract role, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position based on performance and attendance.
Interview Process:
Onsite interviews are mandatory, allowing candidates to view the facility.
Benefits:
Employee-paid medical benefits become available on the first of the month following the start date. Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay are also included.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the flow of vehicles through the VDC processes.
2. Operate the car wash facilities.
3. Handle fuel pump operations.
4. Conduct battery voltage checks as the First Point of Rest (FPOR).
5. Assist with basic facility maintenance as required.
6. Participate in cross-training for advanced skills in VDC IT systems.
7. Operate vehicles in a controlled yard environment.
8. Perform manual transmission operations.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates must possess basic automotive knowledge and a valid Driver’s License from any US State. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, along with tasks involving driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, hearing, reading, and writing, with exposure to varying temperatures and high noise levels.
