Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
- Execute the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment, adhering to local and national electrical standards. This includes participation in new construction initiatives and upgrades to existing electrical systems, including PLCs.
Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality. This involves monitoring for wear, corrosion, and other potential issues.
Repairs:
- Identify and rectify electrical faults, including issues with wiring, outlets, and circuit breakers. Proficient troubleshooting is essential to mitigate electrical hazards. Fabrication of replacement components may be required, along with vendor management as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of journeyman experience in industrial electrical work.
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with management and colleagues.
- Basic experience with PLC diagnostics is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in an agricultural setting.
- Completion of a 2-4 year technical certificate or equivalent work experience.
- OSHA 10 certification is advantageous.
Additional Information:
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary, but will not exceed 25% of the time.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.
- Tools and a company vehicle will be provided.
- Must maintain required certifications in the states where the company operates.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 100 feet.
