About the Role:
This position involves assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing transportation to appointments and activities, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with basic living skills and daily personal tasks
* Provide transportation to and from activities and appointments as needed
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
* Follow proper medication management guidelines and assist in monitoring and documenting procedures
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; two+ years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with state minimum liability insurance
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
* Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Working Conditions:
* The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and stress
* Must be able to pass background checks/drug screen and maintain a clean driving record
