Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team in Lubbock, Texas and surroundings. As an EMT with City Ambulance Service, you will be responsible for providing advanced level patient care during emergency and non-emergency transports.

  • Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports
  • Assess patients' conditions and determine courses of treatment according to local protocol
  • Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced life support to patients
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others
  • Transport patients safely in ambulances
  • Transfer patients to hospitals or other healthcare facilities
  • Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare staff
  • Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively
  • Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulances, and station locations daily


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed as an EMT with City Ambulance Service, you should have:

  • The ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to waist level
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • The ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations
  • The ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties
  • Two years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, preferred

Work Schedule:

Our full-time EMTs work three 24-hour shifts per week, with regular breaks and time off. We also offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.


COVID-19 Precautions:

At City Ambulance Service, we prioritize patient and employee safety. We use new personal protective equipment and clothing for every patient, and sanitize units and stations hourly or after each patient, whichever comes first.


Licenses and Certifications:

We prefer candidates with an EMT license, but all applicants must meet our qualifications and pass a background check.
