Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Chicken Salad Chick - 03. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and process recurring invoices for utilities, supplies, and services.
  • Process autopayments in the general ledger based on bank statements.
  • Assist in the review of the A/P subledger and coordinate with accounts payable to ensure proper approvals and accurate coding of vendor invoices.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of other financial accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain vendor master files and provide control support to the AP department as needed.
  • Manage corporate expense report processes and perform Concur maintenance as required.
  • Maintain accurate lease schedules, prepare related monthly journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Research and resolve landlord inquiries related to rent and expense payment discrepancies.
  • Review financial statement line items by store for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare manual journal entries during the monthly close process.
  • Assemble information for external auditors during the annual audit.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or up to two years of experience.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products.
  • Desire to investigate and solve problems.
  • Desire to learn and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Physical Demands
  • Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
