Specialty Care is exclusively office-based and encompasses various fields including:

Oncology, Allergy, Geriatrics, Pulmonary, Dermatology, Urgent Care, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Occupational Medicine, GYN, ENT, Vascular, Psychiatry, as well as Advanced Practice Providers in Community Care Clinics, Wound Care, and Patient Care settings.

Responsibilities:


Supports healthcare teams in providing patient care by preparing individuals for examinations, measuring vital signs, documenting medical histories, and maintaining patient records.

Engages with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to enhance communication and coordination of care, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Processes directives from healthcare providers, including medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, ensuring precision and prompt execution.
Assists in the implementation of prescribed medical interventions and treatments, adhering strictly to established protocols to promote patient safety.
Administers medications and treatments while following established guidelines to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.

Safeguards patient confidentiality by ensuring that health information and records are communicated consistently in accordance with relevant standards, laws, and organizational policies.

Assists in responding to emergencies and safety concerns by utilizing personal protective equipment and adhering to hospital safety protocols to prevent patient harm.

Performs additional duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:
Diploma in Practical Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as an LPN
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as recognized by ANCC or national nursing standards.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in North Carolina or a Compact State.
