Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our healthcare team in a correctional setting. As a key member of our team at Annashae Consulting & Staffing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies that ensure high-quality medical and nursing care in a jail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for medical care in the jail, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Determine the type and quantity of equipment and supplies necessary to equip the jail's first aid kits, and establish procedures for periodic inspection.
  • Provide medical coverage in the jail for a minimum of three hours per day, five days a week, including sick call and other medical needs.
  • Act as a liaison between jail medical staff and inmates' primary care physicians, coordinating care and ensuring continuity of treatment.
  • Attend jail medical meetings and present for inspections related to medical services provided in the jail.
Requirements
  • Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Experience in correctional medicine or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
