Compensation: $75,171.20 Annually

Overview:
As a Financial Advisor, you will engage with Credit Union members to provide expert guidance in developing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring financial planning and investment solutions. The primary offerings include mutual funds, annuities, 529 plans, and life insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with members to identify their financial aspirations, needs, and priorities, facilitating the creation of tailored financial plans.
  2. Present non-deposit investment and insurance solutions while adhering to compliance standards established by regulatory bodies.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations concerning credit union compliance, including anti-money laundering laws.
  4. Encourage a positive and productive work atmosphere for Financial Advisor Associates through skill development and motivational leadership.
  5. Accurately manage and update member-client records to ensure compliance and confidentiality.
  6. Conduct regular portfolio assessments for member-clients to ensure alignment with their financial goals.
  7. Engage with branch management and staff to promote referral opportunities and enhance referral activities.
  8. Partner with the Education Department to deliver investment workshops for staff and members.
  9. Stay informed about current investment products available through our broker/dealer.
  10. Timely completion of weekly activity reports, annual marketing plans, and other assigned documentation.
  11. Address general inquiries from members regarding investment and credit union offerings.
  12. Facilitate cross-referrals or cross-sales of credit union products when appropriate.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Exceptional oral and written communication skills for effective presentations and discussions.
  2. Proficient manual dexterity for operating office equipment, including computers and financial calculators.

Organizational Contacts:

  1. Internal: Management and staff.
  2. External: Members, non-members, securities dealers, insurance providers, and credit union league representatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in personal investment.
  2. Experience: Minimum of three years in sales and delivery of personal investment products, with at least one year in a financial institution.
  3. Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong organizational and member relations skills.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional mobility.
  2. Normal vision and hearing capabilities.
  3. Frequent travel may be required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • California Insurance Licenses: Life & Disability.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations.
  • Financial Planning/Wealth Management Designation or equivalent to be obtained within two years.
