About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at SpecialtyRx. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 24/7 pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the processing of finished product while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support the goals of the pharmacy and meet the needs of customers.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Supervisor with daily functions, including filling daily drug orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Process returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
  • Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed during low volume times.
  • Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas.
  • Apply labels to blistercards or artromick boxes and scan product for accuracy check.
  • Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
  • Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state.
  • Ability to work at a moderate speed.
  • 1 or more year of long-term care or retail pharmacy experience.
  • Someone reliable and able to work during inclement weather.
  • Registered/Certified technician or registration should be in the process.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Quick and independent learner.
