Project Engineer - Heavy Civil

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of highway and roadway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and analyze production and cost statistics to identify problem areas and provide solutions.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Prepare and distribute project submittals, subcontracts, and purchase agreements.
  • Maintain and distribute plan drawings and revisions, and initialize and maintain required project logs.
  • Assist in the preparation of work plans for upcoming scopes of work, and obtain required permits for job site activity.
  • Set up utilities, services, and water meters, and track project expenses and record them on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company policies and perform safety inspections weekly, and maintain daily production quantities for cost tracking.
  • Review budgets and adjust job costing, and manage change order correspondence and tracking.
  • Assist with scheduling, and ensure timely and accurate project closeouts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of construction experience required, including internships, preferably heavy civil experience in the US.
  • Knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures pertaining to highway/road construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, and lead through influence.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and as a team player.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Pass criminal and driving background checks, and valid Driver License.
