About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at Merry Wood Lodge Center in Elmore, AL. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control strategies to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote infection prevention and control practices among staff members.
  • Conduct surveillance and monitoring activities to identify and investigate potential infection control issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent and control infections.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on infection prevention and control best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
