Job Summary:

Intermountain Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team in a school-based setting. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing medical coverage and support to high school athletes, promoting the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical coverage and support to high school athletes during practices and events
  • Assess and administer first aid to injured athletes, documenting all treatments and referrals
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for injured athletes
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, school administrators, parents, and athletes to ensure seamless care and support
  • Maintain accurate records of all evaluations, referrals, and treatments administered to patients or athletes
  • Participate in marketing strategies to promote the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including athletic directors, coaches, and parents
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in sports medicine

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Current athletic trainer license in state of practice
  • National athletic trainer certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with interpersonal relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Athletic Trainer at a college or university
  • Completion of a formal Athletic Trainer internship at a college or university
