We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Technician to join our team at Charter Communications. As a Fiber Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of our internet services to our customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field
- Examine existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers
- Maintain and improve Charter's fiber network
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, and BCT/E)
- At least 1 year of maintenance tech or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of traditional fiber architectures, fiber optic systems, testing and splicing equipment, and Coarse and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM/DWDM)
- Valid driver's license
- Associates degree in electronics or a related field
- Basic computer knowledge for occasional work in the office
