We are seeking a highly skilled Helicopter Electronic Systems Integration Engineer to join our team at AM Pierce and Associates. Key Responsibilities- Lead the integration of avionics communication systems and data fusion technologies into Navy helicopter platforms.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between various avionics subsystems.
- Develop and implement integration plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Support the specification, design, and development of advanced avionics communication systems and data fusion algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Conduct trade studies and analysis to determine optimal system configurations.
- Develop and execute test plans for avionics communication systems and data fusion technologies.
- Coordinate and support system validation and verification activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues.
- Develop system and procurement requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and test reports.
- Present findings and status updates to stakeholders and management.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience performing the functional duties for this position.
- Proven experience in avionics systems integration, with a focus on communications and data fusion technologies.
- Strong understanding of military aircraft communication protocols (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in systems engineering principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
