Drilling Apprentice

At SW Cole Engineering, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Apprentice - CDL A to join our team in Chicopee, MA.

This is a full-time position that requires a CDL Class A license and experience working with heavy equipment and operations.

The successful candidate will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring rig with an experienced Driller.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safely assisting the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance
• Performing soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, and installing monitoring wells
• Operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including drill rigs, medium-duty trucks, trailers, and ATVs

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds, and work outdoors in all seasons and conditions.

Regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England is required, with overnight stays on some weekdays.
