Heather Health Care Center - POSITION SUMMARY:
Full-Time Shifts Available

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering essential nursing care to residents, adhering to the highest standards set by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies. Your role will involve collaborating with the Charge Nurse, Supervisor, and other nursing staff to ensure optimal care quality is consistently maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program, evidenced by a diploma or certificate.
- Successful completion of the Department-approved nursing assistant competency evaluation or military training equivalent.
- Minimum age of 16, with a strong moral character and reliability.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within two weeks of hire.
- Demonstrated interest in caring for the elderly, ill, and disabled.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Capacity to make independent decisions when necessary and work harmoniously with colleagues.
- Must possess a personable and enthusiastic demeanor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move throughout the facility during shifts.
- Capability to handle the mental and emotional demands of the role.
- Adequate sight and hearing, or use of prosthetics to meet job requirements.
- Must be in good health and exhibit emotional stability.
- Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including those who may be distressed or challenging.
- May require lifting and moving items exceeding fifty (50) pounds.
- Exposure to various health risks, including infectious materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all nursing protocols and procedures as per established policies.
- Assist residents with daily living activities as directed by nursing staff.
- Participate in the development of personalized care plans for residents.
- Engage in resident care plan meetings and report any concerns to management.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure resident comfort and safety.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents and their families.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition.
- Support residents in promoting self-care and rehabilitation efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the nursing team.
