Job Summary

Camin Cargo Control is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing of various customer-supplied, quality control, or round robin samples for purposes such as qualitative analysis and process control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze crude and refined petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical products, as well as Quality Control samples to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Document each test result and maintain neat, complete, and accurate records.
  • Prepare corresponding customer or Quality Control reports through Camin Cargo Control's computer system.
  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control testing as required for each instrument.
  • Calibrate each instrument as needed and maintain in clean working condition.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Requires a H.S. Degree (or equivalent).
  • Must possess basic computer, math, and science skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to grasp new procedures quickly and be capable of working independently upon completion of training.
  • Must be able to distinguish color.
  • Must pass pulmonary test for respirator use.
Work Environment

The workday may consist of 8-12 hours, however, this can vary day to day and shift to shift. Some of the retained work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for a prolonged duration of time. Laboratory work is normally performed indoors under climate-controlled conditions.

Weight Up to 45 lbs.- Duration/Day Up to 1 hour.

  • Tool use

Weight 5-8 lbs.- Duration/Day Up to 1 hour.

  • Sitting

Weight 5-8 lbs. -Duration/Day Up to 6 hours.

  • Driving

Weight N/A- Duration/Day Up to 6 hours.
