About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team at LUKE.

This is a full-time opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional results in medical billing and coding.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational, and customer service skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify time worked for contract staff providing services at the FCC utilizing automated records of ingress and egress.
  • Utilize Medicare Part A and Part B payment regulations and payment recommendations from a third-party adjudicator to ensure accurate billing.
  • Investigate inconsistencies in invoices identified by the third-party adjudicator using knowledge of Medicare coding and billing standards and procedures.
  • Perform other duties such as filing, composing memoranda, maintaining suspense files, data entry, and preparation of cost analysis, financial obligations reconciliations, budget, and expenditures tracking.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare or insurance environment.
  • One of the following certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Assistant (CCA), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a deadline-intensive environment.
