Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to fill a full-time position at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
- Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Communicate effectively with ordering and/or interpreting physicians to ensure appropriate use.
- Maintain active credential status by complying with continual education requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment effectively and report any issues to biomedical engineering/vendor.
- Work Schedule: Full time - Monday- Friday
- Location: Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital
- Experience: One year of experience after acquiring registry in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of cardiac or vascular sonography
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school/program of diagnostic medical sonography or 5 years specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Certification(s): ARDMS Registered with RDCS Certification, or CCI Registered with RCS Certification for Echo, or ARDMS with RVT or CCI with the RVS; Certification for Vascular. BLS (AHA)
