Job Summary

As an Area Supervisor with Harvard Services Group, Inc, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and financial aspects of our business, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct staff activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) activities to optimize business performance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, objectives, and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and mitigate risk.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers, while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Manage emergency response and provide leadership to develop new customers and maintain existing customer base.
  • Create estimates and workload for bids and new job sites.
  • Travel and manage all aspects of the assigned area/territory.
  • Monitor and ensure quality control expectations are met, and supervise cleaners and floor technicians.
  • Maintain payroll records, performance documents, and disciplinary actions.
  • Perform quality control to conform to Harvard and customer standards, and manage inventory and supply control.
  • Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable management experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Planning: Ability to perform short and long-range planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent project and program management skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing building services (janitorial).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be flexible with hours and schedules.
  • Technical knowledge of all aspects of janitorial service delivery.
  • Ability to multi-task.
