Position Overview:

As a Physical Therapist at St. Joseph Health, now integrated with CommonSpirit Health, you will be instrumental in aiding patients to restore or sustain their physical health following health challenges, injuries, or age-related concerns.

Your role will involve implementing a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at alleviating discomfort, boosting strength and endurance, enhancing mobility, and improving balance, thereby enabling patients to achieve their highest functional potential.

In this vibrant setting, our physical therapists typically manage 6 to 8 patients each day, conducting evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment sessions. You will be actively engaged in most therapeutic interventions, encountering a wide array of cases such as orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recoveries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and balance disorders.

The environment is fast-paced yet nurturing, supported by a collaborative team always available to offer assistance, guidance, or mentorship as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create and execute tailored treatment plans for each patient.
  • Perform initial assessments and regular re-evaluations to monitor patient progress.
  • Document all interventions meticulously and note any changes in patient conditions.
  • Adapt treatments to meet individual patient requirements, encouraging innovative approaches and going above and beyond when necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and serve as a resource for colleagues.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality care to all patients.

Qualifications:

  • Essential:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science or a related field in Physical Therapy.
  • Valid State of Texas Physical Therapy License.
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Compensation:

$53.46 per hour
