Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a proactive Development Support Systems Engineer to enhance our innovative Cyber Mission team. In this critical position, you will be instrumental in contributing to one of the Intelligence Community's most significant engineering contracts.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our organization, you will assist a prominent customer Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for managing a large-scale, multi-organizational software development initiative. Your systems engineering expertise will be essential in:
  • Defining requirements and generating comprehensive documentation.
  • Integrating effective solutions into existing frameworks.
  • Collaborating with the testing team to validate development efforts, ensuring precision in meeting every milestone.
This is a full-time, on-site role requiring 1,880 hours of annual support.

Qualifications

Essential Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's or PhD may substitute for two years of experience. Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience is acceptable.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
  • Last polygraph must be less than 7 years old.
  • Experience in configuring and developing tests for automated testing within a DevOps platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.
Preferred Experience:
  • Applying systems engineering and integration support within a large Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Familiarity with SE Best practices and innovative methodologies for their application in a dynamic software development context.
  • Test automation and scripting skills (experience with TestLink is a plus).
  • Assessing, preventing, and mitigating threats to information systems and infrastructures.
  • Selecting appropriate testing products, tools, services, and components.
  • Validating IT systems for testing and quality assurance.
  • Conducting high-level testing of system and component performance and interface requirements.
  • Planning, documenting, and executing developmental and operational testing activities.
  • Supporting the creation or modification of test documentation, including test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Assisting in test readiness review (TRR) presentations and results briefings.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the functionality and supportability of technical test products and deliverables.
  • Demonstrating solid application of systems engineering throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Experience with GitLab.
  • Knowledge and experience with containerization and DevOps platforms (Kubernetes preferred).
