The Behavioral Health Technician plays a vital role in the treatment team, serving as the primary liaison between clients, clinical, and medical staff. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementation and integration of the person-centered treatment plan.
Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Technician Manager, the BHT monitors, observes, and reports client activities while providing structure and support of the clinical person-centered treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities- Consistent daily engagement with clients, providing support through implementation of the treatment plan.
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients and client families.
- Accurately document all engagements with clients in the electronic chart.
- Ensure all clients attend individual and group treatment sessions and follow daily order of events.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and records.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor.
- Report safety hazards immediately.
- Work to maintain the cleanliness and functional order of the Milieu.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Practice infection control, including use of PPE and proper hand hygiene.
