Senior Structural Engineer Job Description

Arora and Associates, PC is a renowned leader in bridge engineering, committed to designing, constructing, and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports our nation's transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise structural analyses, design, and detailing of bridges
  • Design and detail the rehabilitation of bridges
  • Direct the preparation of contract plans
  • Visit project sites to collect information
  • Write or assist in the writing of reports, specifications, and correspondence
  • Review and respond to contractor submittals
  • Interact with clients and contractors
  • Market the firm's services
  • Assist with preparing proposals
Professional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 15+ years of experience with a concentration in Structural Engineering
  • PE License in NY, NJ, and/or PA or the ability to obtain licensure within six months
  • Ability to learn company policies, procedures, and relevant software quickly
Valuable Skills:
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or Autocadd
  • Familiarity with structural design and analysis software such as CSiBridge, Midar
  • Working knowledge of NJDOT, PennDOT, or any NY Agency standards
  • Organized, determined, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project demands
