Red Rock is in search of an Application Developer to contribute to our diverse and skilled team. This position involves supporting the Sponsor's objectives by offering project management, User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design, developer assistance, and managing the accessibility program to establish compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide additional support to development teams as required.
  • Utilize User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) expertise to design and create Human Centered Design (HCD) products and experiences.
  • Design and develop web components that enhance user interaction and experience.
  • Define and implement solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  • Identify design challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Develop user-friendly solutions to navigate complex design obstacles.
  • Create wireframes and storyboards to visualize design concepts.
  • Establish and advocate for design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Manage and track requirements through the team's project management system.
  • Implement customer design standards and develop reusable templates.
  • Support enhancements in user experience and interface requirements.
  • Assess, monitor, develop, report, and coordinate a comprehensive accessibility program plan.
  • Track various accessibility improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend future enhancements.
  • Develop improved testing procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

Certifications and demonstrated experience:

  • Proficient in software development using Java and UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React.
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Section 508 requirements and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design.
  • Familiarity with COTS accessibility challenges.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Ability to design comprehensive user interfaces and experiences that align with client expectations.
  • Experience in iterating designs and solutions efficiently using agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Skilled in using wireframing tools, storyboards, and user flows.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design best practices.
