Penske Refrigeration Technician Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Penske Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration units on commercial trucks and trailers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, including Carrier and Thermo King equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems
  • Conduct road tests to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including pneumatic wrenches, lathes, and welding equipment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals

Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in tractor trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
  • ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
