Logistics Coordinator

Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Huntley, IL

Compensation: $19.30-$22.71/hr based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure the prompt and precise preparation and dispatch of finished products, including appropriate packaging and loading of transport vehicles.
• Verify shipping documentation against actual contents, including checks on quantity, weight, product specifications, and delivery instructions.
• Facilitate the movement of pallets and assist in the selection and retrieval of inventory for shipment.
• Support various departments as required.
• Maintain an organized warehouse environment, optimizing space utilization and upholding cleanliness standards.
• Accurately report inventory levels for finished goods and oversee raw material transfers to production areas.
• Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
• Prepare raw materials in designated staging areas for production based on reports.
• Operate both manual and powered forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough checks of shipping documents against physical contents.
• Confirm product specifications, weight, and shipping instructions.
• Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn while completing various projects.
• Identify and locate inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Foster positive working relationships with all departments.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ensure that finished goods and raw materials are accurately scanned to their designated locations.
• Undertake other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or operating forklifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail is crucial.
• Good organizational capabilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
