Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students across the elementary school level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group psychoeducational assessments to identify students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs specific to the elementary learning environment.
  • Develop and interpret psychological reports with recommendations for interventions and support strategies aligned with the elementary school setting.
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social-emotional needs, including anxiety, depression, and peer relationships, focusing on strategies for success in elementary school.
  • Consult with teachers and staff on classroom management strategies and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) tailored to elementary students.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive school climate and social-emotional well-being for all elementary students.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in school psychology and participate in professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in supporting young learners.
Requirements
  • Minnesota State School Psychologist License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Prior experience working in a school setting with elementary school students is preferred.
  • Strong assessment skills in the areas of intellectual functioning, academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavior specific to elementary learners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school staff in a way that is developmentally appropriate.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a commitment to student success in the elementary grades.
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories as they apply to elementary school students.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and best practices in school psychology specifically tailored to the elementary school setting.
