We are seeking a dedicated part-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Pre-Surgical Testing department. This role is essential in providing compassionate care to patients in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fundamental patient care under the supervision of nursing and medical personnel.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
  • Monitor and report on patients' conditions to nursing staff.
  • Record vital signs and assist in specimen collection for laboratory analysis.
  • Support patient transport and maintain cleanliness in the care environment.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting, either acute or long-term care.
  • Experience in phlebotomy or completion of a phlebotomy training program.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Progress towards certification as a CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P).
