Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Dock Worker / Warehouse Associate. Your primary responsibilities will include the safe operation of forklifts for loading and unloading freight, along with various warehouse tasks.

Work Schedule: 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Daily home time is guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols established by the company.
  • Be available for a range of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, depending on freight volume.
  • Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload both palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Safely navigate in and out of trailers.
  • Lift and move freight and other items of varying shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 75 lbs).
  • Secure freight within trailers using necessary tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
  • Maintain safety while working in potentially adverse weather conditions.
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
  • Engage with service center personnel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Exhibit prompt and reliable attendance at the assigned work location.

Compensation: Starting wage between $17.00 and $18.00 based on experience.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated motivation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic math and counting, with or without a calculator.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interaction with peers and supervisors.
  • Physical capability to bend, twist, squat, and push/pull freight throughout the shift.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete necessary training.
  • Capacity to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
  • Prior experience in dock/warehouse settings within the transportation industry is advantageous.
  • Forklift experience in a freight or less-than-truckload environment is preferred.
  • Experience in loading and unloading trailers is beneficial.
  • Successful completion of a company-paid Post Offer Pre-Hire screen (physical essential functions) test is required.
