About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer to join our Energetics and Propulsion Department in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced technologies and concepts for fuzing devices, controllers, software, mechanical, and electrical interfaces for integration into missile systems and space vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead collaborative efforts with other technical disciplines to ensure full development of fuzing device requirements and dissemination to subcomponent levels.
- Perform fuzing trade studies evaluating different electrical designs and estimate design and production cost and schedule.
- Manage fuzing device development projects and propulsion subcontracts, providing frontline lead activities and mentoring engineers who develop fuzing devices.
- Work in a collaborative environment with program management in long-range program planning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in fuzing / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
