Key Responsibilities- Prescription Filling and Dispensing: Receive and fill prescription requests from customers and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
- Medication Counseling: Provide patients with comprehensive medication counseling, including information on proper use, dosage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Inventory Management: Order, stock, and maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, ensuring accurate tracking and control of medications.
- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate service delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including HIPAA and pharmacy laws.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field required; Doctorate degree in Pharmacy preferred.
- Experience: Three years of experience in a pharmaceutical department, with a strong background in patient care and medication management.
- Licensure: Pharmacy License in good standing required in the state of operation.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Word and Excel, with knowledge of perpetual inventory procedures.
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 30 pounds. The work environment is typically a retail store setting, with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
