Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients pre-operatively, conducting thorough interviews and examinations to determine the best course of anesthesia.
- Collaborate with Anesthesiologists to select anesthetic agents based on patient-specific needs.
- Monitor patients' responses to anesthesia, taking necessary actions to maintain stability.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons and Anesthesiologists regarding patient concerns and special needs.
- Ensure anesthesia equipment is functioning properly, preparing and administering medications as needed.
- Provide education and training to student nurse anesthetists, promoting professional growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records of controlled substances, adhering to departmental guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesia care.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications.
- Experience in anesthesia care for complex procedures, including extensive monitoring and fluid management.
- Additional skills in charting, documentation, and equipment management.
- Experience in precepting student nurse anesthetists.
