Land Surveyor

The Surveyor will provide technical support in surveying at assigned facilities. The role involves working with various stakeholders to ensure accurate surveying data.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain GPS instruments, software, and hardware.
- Provide training to operators of heavy equipment with GPS capabilities.
- Maintain equipment installation and setup for new facilities.
- Perform calculations for land surveying applications, including CADD volumes, boundary, and topographic creation.
- Manage and coordinate 3rd party surveyors.
- Gather and stake out 'as-built' survey data for infrastructure.
- Complete survey and surface reviews.
- Perform job duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and take responsibility.
- Ability to work with multiple sources and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to maintain compliance with PPE when necessary.
- Ability to follow all department rules, procedures, and instructions.
- Understanding of Trimble GPS applications.
- Must be familiar with construction equipment and GPS use.
- Good driving record; able to meet Rumpke driving qualifications.
- Exposed to areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter.
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
- Ability to travel between offices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license (if applicable).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
