Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role will initially involve training during the day shift, transitioning to the night shift post-training. The night shift offers a 15% premium, with a 20% premium for the 12-hour night shift hours worked.


Role Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting operations and various plant functions by executing both routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs on a range of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This position is situated within a highly technical manufacturing environment, demanding meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, adaptability, effective communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a focus on safety.

All maintenance activities are documented in an electronic database for future reference by maintenance and engineering teams. This employee will contribute positively to the culture at Web Industries Inc.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to company policies.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Implement safety practices while working on equipment (including LOTO, PPE, Arc flash, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards when using power and hand tools (such as welders, drills, saws, torque multipliers, etc.).
  • Evaluate and exemplify adherence to safety regulations.
  • Follow the Environmental Preservation Policy.
  • Report any potential environmental, mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic concerns to supervision.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Perform non-routine maintenance as needed.
  • Service, monitor, and maintain automated systems and factory equipment.
  • Utilize gauges and measuring instruments to verify compliance with tolerance requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and/or electrical issues using various tools, including digital multimeters, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates in electronic databases.
  • Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, and forklifts.
  • Manage spare parts inventory effectively.
  • Maintain a clean work area and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Support internal projects and execute reactive work orders.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting support for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to address and mitigate downtime events.
  • Set up and sharpen blades for machinery.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant mechanical experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial motors or motor controls.
  • Metal fabrication skills (welding, machining, etc.).
  • Experience with large industrial mechanical/electromechanical equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with basic measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, micrometers, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to perform various physical activities and work 12-hour shifts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience with precision tools and machinery.
  • Welding experience.
  • Experience operating scissor lifts and/or forklifts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively contribute to company culture.
