Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the medical imaging department, responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scans. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and position patients on the CT table, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and perform other necessary procedures.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality scans.
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions and ensure a smooth transition to the next step in their care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to aseptic technique and radiation safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered ARRT with RT(R)(CT) CT registration required.
  • BCLS required upon hire.
  • Two years of experience preferred, with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On-call required, with the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of being called back.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
