Job Summary

This role is responsible for handling all clerical aspects of claim appeals to insurance health plans, including faxing appeals, verifying information, and coordinating medical records requests. The successful candidate will perform administrative duties to support the Revenue Team as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and distribute incoming payer correspondence related to appeals and denials.
  • Document and record EP Client Correspondence batches for distribution to third-party vendors.
  • Verify payor appeal requirements and obtain necessary documentation from clients, patients, and system resources.
  • Coordinate and distribute medical records requests from insurance payors in accordance with regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Scan, fax, mail, and email documents as needed for Revenue Specialists' workflow.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of Clerical experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to operate computer and 10-key calculator.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Medical Billing environment.
  • ICD-10 Coding knowledge/experience.
