About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Substation Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of high-voltage substation protection and controls systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of substation protection and controls systems, including relay philosophies, control and communications equipment selection, and SCADA system design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in substation protection and controls systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in substation protection and controls systems.
Requirements
  • BSEE with a power systems or controls emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • 10+ years of experience in substation protection and controls systems, including design, installation, and coordination.
  • PE license.
  • Experience with vendor protective relay equipment, such as SEL, ABB, GE, Areva, and Basler.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and design software, such as SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, CDEGS, or vendor software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
