Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Angelo State University. As an Athletic Trainer for Student Affairs, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing the sports medicine program for various competitive club sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Athletic Trainer/Director of Sports Medicine to design and implement a comprehensive sports medicine program for cheerleading, mascots, dance, rodeo, and other selective competitive club sports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of injury prevention and treatment protocols.
- Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe and healthy athletic environment.
- Work closely with university staff, faculty, and students to promote student wellness and athletic success.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in athletic training, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
