Job Summary

Allina Health is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization with 90+ clinics and 10 hospitals/13 campuses throughout the Twin Cities region, including western Wisconsin. We are seeking a fellowship-trained Stroke Neurologist to join our team at the Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine & Pain Institute.

Key Position Details

We are looking for a Stroke Neurohospitalist to join our team at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, a comprehensive stroke center. Our physicians are credentialed at all of our sites, allowing them to pick up shifts across facilities. Stroke Neurologists also rotate shifts with our in-house Telestroke services, supporting facilities across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provides care for neurological emergencies, critical care neurology, and neurological complications of other systemic disease.
  • Quality: Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows.
Requirements
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Neurology or foreign equivalent training required.
  • Stroke Fellowship preferred, but Stroke Program experience acceptable.
Physical Demands

Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.
